Pretty solid stuff. Congrats, man. Always feels good to beat the odds, eh? Again, awesome stuff.

Felt awesome, dude. The only thing that may top it is a Leafs Cup win, or if the Riders win the Grey Cup next year. I really don't know, though, because I'll probably never get to experience those things.

?

Thanks for the words/likes, guys.

That's amazing man. If you don't mind my asking, how has your life been since then? Have you been able to go on short walks or even longer hikes? Can you run?

Life has been alright since then. I've noticed as I've gotten older, its gotten harder to walk. I figure it must have something to do with getting taller. But if I use my cane, I'm alright. I haven't tried running in ages, dude. Probably since I gave up my backyard American Football days where I would toss TD passes left and right, and run (waddle) up and down the lawn.

?

I'm also able to ride a bike, (it's a special one with three wheels), and I can somewhat swim. Although, I do need somebody watching me for when I start to sink. lol

Tomorrow marks the 12 year anniversary. The proudest moment of my life. A few years ago, I wrote a story about it and thought I'd share it here. Hope you enjoy.

Lame Story Bro. JK Thunder buddies for life!

It sounds like you're more active than I am... what does that say about me? :P

Dude, I'm the laziest person on the planet. Example: It is 4:50PM right now, and I just woke up 5 minutes ago.

Hilarious, Kryl.

Great story, Dylan. I have a good idea of the feelings you went through as a kid. I had similar experiences. I'm happy to see you've risen above natural limitations. Nature is a bitch.

?

I only have a small idea of your limitations from looking at past threads. But my thinking always has been that if I can do it, anybody can. Doctors can say whatever they want, they aren't always right. I also remember going back to the surgeon a few weeks after I started walking, he looked at me, and said, "I don't believe it."

It's hard for me to talk about this, because it hits so close to home.

?

My sister also has CP and for years I've been hearing "Your sister will never be able to walk or talk" and so far....they've unfortunately been correct.

?

It's so nice to hear a happy ending though. I'm glad you beat the odds and I wish you nothing but the best.

My circumstances haven't been as bright as yours. I have Spinal Muscular Atrophy, which, long story short, results in a continual muscle degeneration until death. I've lived, and that's all that matters. Easy lives are for the weak.

Thanks, Puff. All the best to you and yours. Continue to be there for your sister.
